Information Concerning Your Separation and Divorce:

Hello Friend,
As a divorce expert on About.com, I have heard from countless men and women that separation, divorce, or the end of a long term relationship, is often unanticipated and can be quite frightening - not to mention a wild emotional roller coaster ride.
Personally, I know firsthand. I've been there. Twice. Not a record of which I am proud, but it certainly does speak to my knowledge of the divorce process and my ability to empathize with your situation.
There are an infinite number of websites who will define the emotional stages and make you feel that you have just entered the Twilight Zone; however, it is my goal on this site to provide you with the tools and resources that you will need to navigate your way through the various stages towards a more positive conclusion.
As individual as your experience may currently feel, it might help you to know that in general terms, we all walk along the exact same path; how long we remain or loiter in any given area is the unknown factor. To recap what you may already know, divorce has the same stages as any grief process. It begins with denial which, at some point, is replaced by very normal emotions, such as: fear, hurt, and anger.
Eventually, the time arrives in which it is necessary to "let go", so that you can emotionally "move on" to the unlimited, and positive, options which await you! As hard as they may be to believe right now, I promise it will happen for you.
There are many fabulous resources to help with the divorce process and thereafter: books, CDs, self help programs and on-line services; however, the choices can be quite overwhelming, and expensive, if not chosen selectively.
I have weeded through the hundreds of resources which I have accumulated over a 22-year period, compiling on this site those, which I consider, "the best of the best". Check them all out and bookmark this page. Even if you are not in need of one particular level of expertise at this time, it might prove invaluable down the road.
If you know of any other relevant sites, books, audios, or anything else which you would like me to review, please email me!
